UNIVIEW 5MP Turret Camera 2.8mm Lens Full Color

UNIVIEW 5MP Turret Camera with 2.8mm Lens, Full Color

The UNIVIEW UV-UAC-T115F28-W is a 5 megapixel turret camera fitted with a 2.8 millimetre lens. It is designed for video surveillance where a clear, full color picture of the monitored area is needed.

The 2.8mm lens gives a fairly wide view, which suits covering entrances, corridors, car parks, shop floors and other areas where you want to see a broad section of the scene. The 5MP resolution provides more image detail than lower resolution cameras, which helps when you need to recognise people, vehicles or small objects on recorded footage.

Full color output means the camera shows the scene in natural colors during the day. This makes it easier to identify clothing, vehicle colors and other details that a black and white image would not show clearly.

Turret cameras have a compact, rounded housing that can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. They are a common choice for indoor and outdoor surveillance installations, and they fit well into systems that combine several cameras and a recorder.

If you are planning a camera system, check the mounting location, the viewing angle you need and the recording equipment you already have. This product is a good fit for businesses, offices, warehouses and homes looking for a reliable 5MP color camera for everyday monitoring.

UNIVIEW 5MP Turret Camera 2.8mm Lens Full Color

The UNIVIEW UV-UAC-T115F28-W is a turret style surveillance camera with a 5 megapixel (5MP) image sensor and a fixed 2.8 millimetre (2.8mm) lens. It produces full color images, so the scene can be viewed and recorded in natural colors. It is intended for CCTV systems where a clear and detailed view of a fixed area is required.

Key features

  • Brand: UNIVIEW
  • Camera type: turret camera
  • Resolution: 5 megapixels (5MP)
  • Lens: fixed 2.8mm lens
  • Image output: full color
  • Article number: UV-UAC-T115F28-W

Image quality

A 5MP sensor captures considerably more detail than standard low resolution cameras. This extra detail helps when you need to read a face, a number plate or a label on recorded footage. Combined with full color output, the camera gives you a more useful record of what happened in the scene.

Lens and field of view

The 2.8mm focal length is a wide angle setting. It covers a broad area from a fixed position, which makes it suitable for general overview monitoring rather than long distance close-up views. When planning the installation, consider the height of the mounting point and the size of the area to be covered, and test the view before final fixing.

Design and installation

Turret cameras have a compact, rounded body that is easy to mount on a wall or ceiling. Their shape makes them discreet while still giving a clear view of the scene. Check the mounting options and the cabling you have available before you install, and make sure the camera is compatible with your recorder or network video system.

Typical uses

  • Monitoring shop floors, reception areas and offices
  • Covering corridors, stairwells and entrances
  • General surveillance of car parks and yards
  • Home or small business security systems
  • Adding color coverage to an existing CCTV installation

Planning your system

For best results, decide what you need to see before choosing the camera position. A wide overview suits general monitoring, while a more focused view is better for identifying people or objects. Good lighting in the monitored area also improves image quality, particularly for full color recording.

This UNIVIEW turret camera is a practical choice for anyone who wants a reliable 5MP color camera for everyday security monitoring. Its combination of resolution, color output and a wide 2.8mm view makes it a flexible option for many indoor and outdoor locations.
